Matt Kresich

After portraying a bumbling detective in a high school play, Matt thought writing a musical wouldn't that hard. (Little did he know that the effort would take him and his co-writers nearly a decade!) While life would take him in many different directions, writing always remained a passion. "Creativity is a gift, and if we have it, it must be shared with others." Every time The Bluff premieres on a new stage, he is filled with joy as a new cast brings his characters from script to stage. He hopes that audiences can step out of their busy lives, relax, and have a laugh or two... Hopefully.

Meet the Authors

Book

Scott Peters

Staring in the very same high school play as Matt, Scott was drafted to add music to Matt's show. Scott would write the first song for the show while a sophomore in high school. Scott’s talent for music has always been apparent; his ability to play any song by ear rivals anyone else in the Midwest! His creative flare can be heard throughout the show as the songs cross a wide range of genres showcasing Scott’s true talent for music.

Music

Fr. Steven Caraher

From an early age, Fr. Steven found himself at home on the stage, drawn to both performance and storytelling through music. A theatre minor in college, he cherished the creative process even as he discerned his call to the priesthood. When he heard that his high school friends Matt and Scott were in need of a fresh spark for their musical, he eagerly joined the team, blending his theatrical instincts with his love for artistic collaboration. Over the next seven years, he played a vital role in refining The Bluff, helping transform the show into the vibrant piece it is today.

Music

George Jurincie

In his theater career, George appeared on stage a few times, but mostly found himself backstage directing lighting and sound. Shortly after Fr. Steven joined the writing team, George would join to provide his technical insights to the other writers. He focused mainly on staging, logistics, and theater technology, but he also provided another creative voice and helped manage the overall narrative of the show you see today. After helping to juggle a number of complete overhauls of the show while writing, he is especially proud what the team has accomplished!
